Hi, my name is Tucker Wilson. I'm an 8-week-old Shiloh Shepherd puppy and just got a new family. There is only Noah, and his mom because his dad had to go to Afghanistan. I am a really fast learner and will do anything I can to please my person. I have a truly heartwarming story of dedication and love. With my loyalty, l will push beyond all limits. You will find new friendships, strength, and courage.
When Noah's dad left for an assignment in Afghanistan Noah and his mom adopted a puppy from the animal shelter in their community to do their part. And as time went by Tucker grew so Noah and Sgt. Duncan trained him to help others. And after a snowstorm hit the town Noah and Tucker did their part to help others out. Tucker Wilson shows us that helping others can be its own reward along with the bond between a boy and his dog. This book shows just how important service dogs can be to our communities. -Michelle
Moms and dads alike will absolutely enjoy reading this amazing tale of heart to your children. A must-read to see how this story unfolds. What do I do? What happens when dad comes home? - Carol
When Noah's father goes off to war his mother decides to find him a puppy. Enter Tucker Wilson a Shiloh Shepherd with a heart as big as his puppy paws. Noah and Tucker connect with veteran Sgt. Duncan next door who helps Noah train Tucker to become a hero and more in this tale to be enjoyed by all.
Tucker will pull at your heart as will Noah. The two are the perfect team. This book is filled with good advice gently given. Makes all of us long for a Tucker of our own. Drawings of Tucker give this book an A+. We are touched by who this book is dedicated to!!
Tucker Wilson is a book about a young boy trying to make a difference in his neighborhood. His father left for the war, and he was left with his mother to care for her. After many times of wanting to cry about having his dad leave his life to go to war, he got the courage to help others. His mother then went out and got them a dog to make a difference in their lives, but yet did not know that this dog was going to make a difference in many other people's lives as well. Tucker Wilson (the dog) helped many over the little time of him being alive by saving lives and caring for others as if they were his family too. This dog changed many people's lives along with the little boy and his family even after his father came home from the war and ended up with PTSD. This is a great book to read to children to encourage them to help others. Hope to read another book by this author. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and others will as well.
You will fall in love with Tucker Wilson, a rescue Shiloh Shepherd, and his young owner Noah. This soon-to-be classic children's book follows Tucker and Noah as Tucker grows from a playful puppy to a local hero and beyond. Beautifully illustrated throughout with pawprints on each page that tug at your heart.
Give this to your children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews at Christmas and watch their eyes light up. Buy several copies as you will need them for gifts throughout the year and make sure you keep a copy for yourself. If I could I'd nominate it for the Newberry. A perfect read for all.
